DOLE QUEZON CHAMPIONS FAIR WAGES, FOSTERS AWARENESS AND UNITY

Ms. Cristina H. Barayang, Officer-in-Charge of DOLE Quezon, commended the cooperation of stakeholders in the successful conduct of the wage orientation, emphasizing their shared commitment to protecting workers’ rights and promoting industrial harmony. She also thanked the Quezon Tripartite and Industrial Peace Council (QTIPC) for supporting DOLE Quezon’s advocacy on fair wages and compliance. The session, led by Mr. Gener Rivera of RTWPB IV-A, highlighted the key provisions of Wage Order No. IVA-22 to ensure proper understanding and implementation among participants.

On October 28, 2025, more than 120 workers and employers from various sectors across Quezon Province gathered at Pacific Mall, Lucena City for the Wage Orientation on Minimum Wage Increase pursuant to Wage Order No. IVA-22. The event, spearheaded by the Department of Labor and Employment – Quezon Provincial Office (DOLE-QPO) under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge Ms. Cristina H. Barayang, in partnership with the Quezon Tripartite and Industrial Peace Council (QTIPC), aimed to ensure proper implementation of the new wage order and uphold the fundamental rights of every worker through education and dialogue.

The orientation was facilitated by Mr. Gener Rivera of the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) IV-A, who discussed the salient provisions of Wage Order No. IVA-22. Participants gained a deeper understanding of how wage adjustments are determined, the responsibilities of employers, and the rights of employees—reinforcing DOLE’s commitment to fostering a fair and just labor environment in Quezon Province.

In her message, Ms. Cristina H. Barayang expressed gratitude for the cooperation and active participation of all stakeholders. “This activity reflects our shared commitment to protecting workers’ rights while promoting industrial harmony. We thank QTIPC for their invaluable support in ensuring that our message of fair wages and compliance reaches every workplace in Quezon,” she stated.

One of the participants, Ms. Jhoan Resurrection, representing the management sector, expressed her sincere appreciation, saying, “I am truly grateful to DOLE Quezon. This orientation has deepened my understanding of workers’ rights and equipped me with the knowledge to ensure their proper implementation in our workplace.”

As the event concluded, the atmosphere was filled with renewed understanding and solidarity—a reflection of how knowledge can bridge differences and build stronger workplaces. DOLE QUEZON ITINAGUYOD ANG MAKATARUNGANG PASAHOD, KAMALAYAN AT PAGKAKAISA

Noong Oktubre 28, 2025, mahigit 120 manggagawa at employer mula sa iba’t ibang sektor sa lalawigan ng Quezon ang nagtipon sa Pacific Mall, Lungsod ng Lucena para sa Wage Orientation on Minimum Wage Increase alinsunod sa Wage Order No. IVA-22. Pinangunahan ito ng Department of Labor and Employment – Quezon Provincial Office (DOLE-QPO) sa pamumuno ni Officer-in-Charge Cristina H. Barayang, katuwang ang Quezon Tripartite and Industrial Peace Council (QTIPC), na may layuning matiyak ang tamang pagpapatupad ng bagong wage order at mapangalagaan ang mga pangunahing karapatan ng bawat manggagawa sa pamamagitan ng edukasyon at dayalogo.

Pinangunahan ni Gener Rivera mula sa Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) IV-A ang oryentasyon, kung saan tinalakay niya ang mahahalagang probisyon ng Wage Order No. IVA-22. Mas napalalim ng mga kalahok ang kanilang pang-unawa sa proseso ng pagtatakda ng sahod, mga tungkulin ng mga employer, at mga karapatan ng mga manggagawa—patunay sa patuloy na adbokasiya ng DOLE na isulong ang makatarungan at balanseng ugnayan sa paggawa sa buong lalawigan ng Quezon.

Sa kanyang mensahe, ipinaabot ni Cristina H. Barayang ang kanyang pasasalamat sa pakikiisa at aktibong partisipasyon ng lahat ng kalahok. “Ang aktibidad na ito ay sumasalamin sa ating pinagsamang hangarin na protektahan ang karapatan ng mga manggagawa habang pinananatili ang industriyal na pagkakaisa. Lubos ang aming pasasalamat sa QTIPC sa kanilang mahalagang suporta upang maihatid ang mensahe ng patas na pasahod at pagsunod sa batas sa bawat lugar ng paggawa sa Quezon,” aniya.

Samantala, ibinahagi ni Ms. Jhoan Resurrection mula sa sektor ng pamunuan ang kanyang taos-pusong pasasalamat, na nagsabing, “Lubos akong nagpapasalamat sa DOLE Quezon. Sa oryentasyong ito, mas lalo kong naunawaan ang mga karapatan ng mga manggagawa at natutunan kong tiyakin na maisasagawa ito nang tama sa aming lugar ng trabaho.”

Sa pagtatapos ng programa, dama ang diwa ng pagkakaisa at mas malalim na pag-unawa—patunay na ang kaalaman ay tulay tungo sa pagkakaintindihan at mas matatag na mga lugar-paggawa. Sa Quezon, nagpapatuloy ang adhikain ng katarungan—hindi lamang sa mga polisiya at programa, kundi sa paniniwalang kapag ang manggagawa ay may kaalaman at ang employer ay may gabay, ang pag-unlad ay nagiging katuparan, hindi lamang pangarap.
